Composed of Anchorage locals James "EJ" Johnson, Nick Emerson, Vazi Takacs, and Willem Krieter, Greenhouse formed in 2019 but debuted their first live performances and EP in late 2021. Fusing psychedelic rock reminiscent of a 70's garage band with in your face vocals and high energy drums, Greenhouse has amassed a following in the local Anchorage indie rock and punk scene. Not afraid to test their boundaries, they also experiment with elements of funk, surf, hardcore, sludge rock, and more.

From Gatsby to Postman Dan to Witches, story telling is a driving focus of Greenhouse's lyrical structure. Combining dynamic instrumental soundscapes with meaningful lyrics unafraid to be taken in jest contributes to delivering the Greenhouse experience in each song.

Impressively, Greenhouse went from their first open mic night to hosting a 300+ attendee paid event in under a year. Poised to continue with their momentum through 2023, Greenhouse plans on releasing new music by mid summer while continuing performing regularly post winter months.
